Once you get the radio serial # (on the back of the radio or in the glove compartment) and the vehicle VIN number, you can call Hyundai Customer Service (USA - 1-800-633-5151) or (Canada - 1-800-461-8242) and they can give you the 4 digit code needed to reset the radio. This is the process I took with my 1995 Hyundai Sonata.
The radio code for each Hyundai vehicle is unique. The vehicle would have had the number on a plasic credit card sized card in the owners manual when new. If you don't have this card you will need to take your vehicle to your Hyundai dealer where they will remove the radio, obtail the serial number then contact Hyundai to find out what your code is :)
Around how much would it cost to replace timing belts and timing change on a 2001 Hyundai Sonata?
ur fat ass....
From a Hyundai dealer technician- there is no serviceable fuel filter on the 2003 Sonata. The filter is a "lifetime" strainer on the fuel pump in the fuel tank. It would be replaced with the replacement of the fuel pump only. how do you replace fuel pump on the 2003 sonata
It could be the fuse. See the related question.
You may have blown a fuse or a flasher.
I would look on the dash or steering column or in your owners manual.
The reason your 2001 Hyundai Sonata lost all power while you were driving and stalled and won't start again is either the battery or the alternator. If you have no power you most likely have an alternator problem.
As the 2006 Hyundai Sonata is quite an old model, finding a review could be quite tricky. It would be a good place to start looking at a website such as Whatcar or Autotrader, or failing this try looking for back issues of motoring magazines in your local Library.
The fuel gauge sending unit would be located inside the fuel tank.
Why would you repair something that could be very easily, and cheaply, replaced? As for repairing it, that would depend on what part of it is damaged, and your skills.
Bad timing belt, get replaced soon.
Yes you can. However, they do not make a specific serpentine belt for bypassing the ac compressor on a 99-01 Hyundai Sonata. You would have to measure the exact length you need to bypass the ac compressor. The belt would then go around the power steering, crankshaft, and alternator. The tension can be adjusted to fit this custom belt as well.
http://www.onlyforcars.com/amazing-6-2-car-dvd-player-with-gps-tv-for-hyundai-tucson-old-elantra-sonata-santa-fe.html It would help you .
well i been driving a 99 sonata so far no problems with that area any ways i would advise u check ur wiring coz there could be a electric leak.
Noises are impossible to correctly diagnoise when not heard. Take it to a garage when it ts making the noise.
theres more than ! head u would need a new wiring harness
Loose or corroded battery cables, defective ignition switch, or a defective starter.
Well I'm thinking that most manufacturers keep the cabin air filter in the same place. I have a 1999 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6 and the cabin air filter in that car is back behind the glove box....if I am right about this your cars air filter should be in the same place...but if it's not there I would call the dealership and talk to them about it.
My 2000 V6 Sonata shakes while at idle also. I discovered I need an oxegen sensor and more importantly an "Idle Air Control Valve". 239.00 is the average and hard to find. .
I have a 94 excel that the battery had been replaced by the previous owner. The factory radio would not reset took it to Hyundai shop said I need the card that the dealership hands to owner at key receipt time. Ended up going to walmart bought a $49 radio/cd it works fine.
Here's a trick, in determaning what side the number 1 cylender is. Look at both heads, the head that is longer is the Number one head. Neat trick HUH? The location of the cylinder is the drivers side front , which would also be the front of the motor closest to the drivers side headlamp ..is would be for a 1995 Hyundai sonata v6 3000 motor. neat trick huh!
The bad part is there's not a haynes or chilton manual available. I doubt there will be seeing as this car was only make for one year. The closest vehicle would be the Hyundai Sonata. There is a mechanics book available, but it's pretty expensive for the home mechanic.
