A single party state is a country where there is only one legal political party. This can be useful in countries where people have not got the hang of the idea that if you support a party which is not in power it is not necessarily treason. The country can get used to the forms of a multiparty democracy without the real competition. Some single party states have successfully made the transition to multiparty states. Others have not.
I have no idea what so ever. I believe that a multiparty democracy is a country with a democratic goverment. And a constitutional monarchy is a monarchy in which the powers of the ruler are restricted to those granted under the constitution and laws of the nation. Hope that helps.
Togo is listed as a "republic transitioning to a multiparty democracy." However, the work toward becoming a full fledged democracy has been a fight since the early 1990s.
