My mom's friend brought back some acetiminophen325mg 15mg caffiene and 8mg codiene. not exactly a Tylenol 3 but it does have codeine in it. Although the bottle says regular strength so maybe the extra is better.
None
Tylenol with codeine.
Yes, it seems to have a maximum of 10mg per pill, along with tylenol or aspirin and caffeine. Rokacet, Rokal both have 10 mg of codeine and are over the counter. There is also another drug that over the counter drug with 12 mg of codeine per pill along with tylenol, but the name escapes me. No pure ITCH codeine, it seems...
Only Tylenol #3 which can only be accessed through doctors permission. ---------------------------- Nope. If the Tylenol (or acetaminophen) has a number (#1, 2, 3, or 4) it has increasing doses of codeine - Tylenol #1 has 8mg (with the 325mg acetaminophen), #2 has 15mg, #3 has 30mg (the most often used), and #4 has 60mg per tab. All are Controlled Substances in the U.S., Schedule III. Permission doesn't enter into it - they all require a prescription with DEA number, or in some states a special controlled drug form. They can be prescribed by phone, unlike Schedule II (morphine, Ritalin etc.). Canada allows their #1 version to be sold over the counter. Happy pain relief. --OLD MD
yes
No, any Tylenol products containing codeine (tylenol 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) can only be obtained (legally anyways) by prescription in the US
Yes at a pharmacy where they have a doctor pharmacist. It is called Paracetamol and you can purchase tabs with 500/30 mg acetominophen/codeine over the counter. This is equivalent to Tylenol 3 and cost about $US0.75/tab.
Over the counter Tylenol is not a drug that will show up on a drug screen or drug test. However Tylenol with Codeine is a narcotic and will show up on a drug test. It will stay in your system for on average five days.
In certain countries, such as Canada, you can purchase Tylenol 1 (with 8 mg codeine) over the counter. However, codeine is not allowed in the United States without a prescription. To purchase, own, or take codeine products that were not prescribed to you by a doctor would be illegal in the United States, even if purchased elsewhere. However, if they were purchased with a proper prescription and taken as indicated, they are legal anywhere in the US, as long as they are only being taken by the person they were prescribed to.
Aspirin, sold over the counter does not have codeine in it. Codeine is a narcotic.
Over the counter codeine
No
Excedrin contains acetaminophen (tylenol), aspirin, and caffeine. Tylenol is acetaminophen.
