I am going to assume you meant Windows ME to WIndows XP Home ED? One thing I HIGHLY suggest doing is perform a low level format because if you try and upgrade from Windows ME to Windows XP you are going to have some serious .dll issues and all kinds of errors. Windows ME was not a stable OS and Microsoft admitted to that, this is why people choose not to run Windows ME. Research the web if you do not know how to perform a low level format on your hard drive
