The first Boeing 757-200 rolled out in January of 1982 and made its first flight one month later. Whereas the Airbus A320 made its first flight in February of 1987. however Boeing just concluded the 23-year run of the 757 and ceased manufacturing them in November 2005. With exactly 1050 757-200's built and sold and over 1030 are still in service. On the other hand Airbus is still producing A320's and as of October 2011, they had sold 4,858, of which 4,765 are still in service.
The 757 is considerably larger.
As of October 2014, they are flying Airbus 319, 320, 321, 330, 340 and also Boeing 737s

The A 320 weighs 94,000 pounds empty. Other Airbus aircraft are different.
They have a few Airbus A320 NEO's on order, but no signs of a 747. They are getting 777-300ER's though
Vietnam Airlines uses Boeing 777, 787. It also uses Airbus 330 and 320/321. They also use some Fokker 70 planes. Their fleet consist also of ATR 72 and some Airbus 350-900
Even though the 320 looks wider the 757 is bigger as it is more long. The 320 may look wider but actually they are roughly the same width and in most cases in a standard seat set up will both have 3 on each side of the isle.
As of 2011, Airbus were selling their A320 model for $85million or £52million. The prices of its variants (A318, A319 and A321) are slightly different as the actual aircraft size is different.
I believe they operate the Airbus 320 from Bahrain to Larnaca.
The A 320 has a baggage capacity of 1,340 cubic feet. That's about the same as a Boeing 737-400.
As of May 2013, 3,334 aircraft have been produced with orders for another 2,871.
