∙ 14y agoIn Matthew's Gospel, the angel told Joseph that Mary would have the baby Jesus. He told no one else.
In Luke's Gospel, the angel told Mary that she would have the baby Jesus, but did not tell Joseph. In fact, it would not make sense if he told both Joseph and Mary in the ways described in the two gospels.
Finally, in Luke's Gospel, the angels told the shepherds in the fields, and they went to worship Jesus.
