It all depends on the orchestra and what piece they are playing. You will see the use of many different traditional and non-traditional instruments in the modern orchestra. In the classical orchestra it would be uncommon to see a Trombone.

Any brass instrument might belong in an orchestra for a particular purpose or a particular piece of music, but there are some that are not USUALLY in orchestras. The euphonium and baritone horn (which are similar and the names are often used interchangeably) are not usually included in an orchestra. (Sometimes a tuba player will use a euphonium to play a high part, if a "Wagner tuba" is not available.)

And the bugle is not usually used in an orchestra.

What is the difference between an orchestra and a band?

An orchestra is a sizable instrumental ensemble that contains sections of string, brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. A band is usually a smaller group of musicians, often with no stringed instruments, while an orchestra may have up to hundred or so members. Bands have existed for centuries, as they accompanied armies in the field and were used as signaling devices. Thus they tended to focus on loud instruments such as brass and percussion. More modern bands used primarily for entertainment, have come to include some of the quieter instruments. Because of their size, modern orchestras are fewer in number and require more support from patrons than do modern bands.
