A lot of people die. Mark, Lexie, Derek, Charles, Heather, and a bunch of other people. But those r the main people.

1.Alex Karev: shot in the elevator but found by Mark Sloan and Lexie Grey, but then they saved his life.

2.Dr. Reed Adamson was shot and killed.

3.Dr. Percy, who was hiding in the back room was shot and later died after attempt from Dr. Bailey to get him to the ER failed.

4.Clark shot Sheppard right beside his heart.

I believe it will be Lexie or Arizona. Lexie because she just confessed that she loved Mark and her dieing would ruin his life. Arizona because in the episode before she told Callie never to leave her. Also, Jessica Caphaw, the woman who plays Arizona, is pregnant and Shonda Rhimes said that it will not be encorperated into the series. In the preview Derek was sucked out of the plane and is missing, but he did sign on for season 9. He could just be in the first few episode (maybe a ghost like Denny was) but that would completely ruin Meredith and Zola and I don't think they would do that.
