Korean War was a war within Korea.
The war broke out in 25th of June 1950, and it started because North Korea crossed the border between North and South Korea.
I'm a south Korean, and my grandma was a girl then and when I ask her to tell me about it she tells me some stories, and I can see that it was devastating.. They had to move around hiding and many people died from starvation and from the warfront. She lost her brother in the war actually.. But she was one of the lucky ones, cus her family was rich so they didn't starve.
And my grandad fought in the war and a bomb landed next to him or something so he almost lost his leg. Fortunately he didn't but he limps now.
Korean war is really one of the tragic times of Korean history.
Well, hope this helped... :)
