Source of carbohydrates
  • There are many sources of carbohydrate. Some carbohydrates are considered 'good' and some are considered 'bad.'
  • Carbohydrates come from such things as anything made out of flour, breads, cereals, Pizza, pastas, cakes biscuits/cookies, chips/fries, potato chips/crisps, corn chips, sugars, and all products containing sugar.
  • The above examples are often be seen as 'bad'carbohydrates because they are refined processed carbohydrates rather than naturally occurring carbohydrates. If you are unsure that constitutes a refined processed carbohydrate, there is a list of those further down this page, listed under Related Questions.
  • Sources of natural 'good' carbohydrates are fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. They are also excellent sources of fiber. For the free fruit and vegetable carbohydrate charts that you can use as daily guides for either weight loss or weight maintenance, see the related page listed under Related Questions.
