Cool season vegetables include the "greens" (kale, chard, mustard, etc.), lettuces, root crops (carrots, turnips, beets, radishes, etc.) and the brassicas (cabbage, broccoli, etc.). Peas and fava beans can also be grown during a long cool (not cold) season. Fruits include the Clementine Oranges available starting in December, kiwis and kumquats.
