The fuel filter never goes out it just gets clogged acting restricted or lack of power. When the fuel pump goes out it wont start usually it will give you a chance to beat on the tank with a rubber mallet to jolt it and if it starts then it the fuel pump.
Change the filter first. Gm fuel pumps of that era are very noisy.
Fuel filter in in gas tank and is part of fuel pump assembly. You will have to drop tank
It is part of the fuel pump in the fuel tank.
After replacing the fuel filter and checking the fuel pump fuse and relay it still does not work, replace it.
Try the fuel pump relay.
Replace the fuel filter first, sometimes they can be the problem. But usually it's a tired fuel pump.
No, not unless you use to much.
Then you have a BAD fuel pump. Replace the pump and filter. If it is higher then 63 LBS. then the fuel pressure regulator is bad.
You didn't mention the year of your suburban but basically four things can cause no fuel to carb. 1. No fuel in tank. 2. bad fuel pump (or fuel pump fuse if pump is electric and in fuel tank). 3. clogged fuel filter (if suburban is older filter is located in the carb inlet, if newer it is probably on the frame rail, drivers side. 4. a clogged or bent/pinched fuel line. Good luck.
clogged fuel filter or faulty fuel pump or shorting wires for pump check wires first then filter
Stoped up FUEL FILTER. Alot of trash inside of the fuel tank / dirt.
Change the fuel filter first. If that doesn't help, change the fuel pump.
