If we look just at the bodies and the gravity each has and not gravitational force between any of them, the sun has the greatest gravity. Gravity is a function of mass, and the sun is a monster compered to the earth or the moon. The sun is so massive that it contains about 99% of all the mass in the whole solar system!

The sun on it's own, accounts for 98% of all the mass in the solar system, that includes the Earth, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Charon and all the moons and asteroids.

The difference between the weight of the Sun and the Earth is like comparing a big rig truck and a empty coke bottle respectively.

The Sun's attraction on the Moon is stronger than Earth's attraction on the Moon.

The Sun's attraction on the Moon is stronger than Earth's attraction on the Moon.

The Sun's attraction on the Moon is stronger than Earth's attraction on the Moon.

Gravity is caused by mass, so the more mass, the more gravity. The Sun has 99.5% of all the mass in the solar system.

So the Sun's gravity is far greater.

Earth is far larger than the Moon, so the Earth's gravity is greater than the Moon's.

The force of the Moon on the Earth is exactly the same as the force of the Earth on the Moon. The equation for gravity includes the sum of both masses times a constant, divided by the square of the distance between them.

Yes, much. That is why Earth orbits the sun and not the other way around.

The earth does, because it has more mass.

The force of gravity at the surface of the Moon is about 17% of that at sea level on Earth.

The Sun's gravity is several hundred times greater than Earth's. We feel Earth's gravity more strongly, but that's because Earth is right here - and the Sun is 93,000,000 miles away.

Is there a moon larger than earth?

NO......... Ganymede, a moon of Jupiter, is the largest in this solar system. At 5,268 km at the equator, it is larger than Mercury, the dwarf planet Pluto, and three times larger than the Moon orbiting Earth. Even it is 3 times larger than earth's moon it is still not big enough to oversize earth.

Why does earth exerts a greater force than the moon?

There are two reasons: The Earth is more massive than the Moon, and the Earth is closer to you than the Moon. If you were standing on the Moon, then the force of gravity due to the Moon would be greater because you are closer to the Moon.
