When you learn Geography you will learn it for the specific places of the world (by specfic places I mean mianly countries). Knowing where the place helps you imagine and explain and reason out why that place has that geography. example: Russia; When you see Russia in a globe you notice that it is found North of asia. This tells you for example that Russia has a cold weather.

It influences a cultures "morality" (what is good/bad). specifics depend on the religion, time period, and country. some places like Spain for a long time were basically run by the church, but others like the US today try and avoid making decisions based on one's religion

Physical geography can decide what the culture in question can do. For example, high mountains might make it a culture that mountain climbing is a ritual. Basically, physical geography dictates what the culture can and can't do.
