May be coil pack
The firing order for the 1997 Pontiac Transport is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. This is for the 3.4 Liter engine.
The coil pack for a 1992 grand am is under the cover that has quad 4 written on it, be careful not to let anything drop into the valley when the cover is pulled off. The coil pack is white and there are 4 black rubber boots that act as the spark plug wires.

To change the spark coil pack on a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire with a 2.4 engine, first disconnect the battery. Then remove the coil pack and spark plug. The 2.8 V6 has a single coil, not a coil pack It is located behind the distributor and on top of the engine. Unplug the wire harness, un bolt and reverse procedure to change.
part of your coil pack could be bad or your ignition control module could be bad it just bolts right on top of your coil pack

it does not have a distributor cap, it has a coil pack, all you can change is the plugs and wires, just fallow the wires from the plugs back to where they end and theres your coil pack, butch
1-3-4-2 No.1 at the passenger side of engine The Firing Order is 1-3-4-2 (Engine and Coil Pack) as Stated above, However I think You want the Plug Wiring for the Coil Pack. Which is : 2-3-1-4.
it doesnt have a distributor cap. it has a coil pack AND...the coil packs are located under the cover on top of the engine.
