Which is better date-month format or month-date format?
December 22, 2014 7:36PM
The best format to use is the one that your audience will
readily recognize. In some countries it is customary to use the
day, month, and year format. In the USA it is customary to use
month, day , and year format. You will also see the day, month, and
year format used in the military. The bottom line is, use the
format that your audience will understand.
To avoid confusion, it is best to spell or abbreviate the month:
For example instead of 12-11-2014 to represent December 11, 2014
It might be better to write DEC-11-2014 or 11-DEC-2014
This helps the reader differentiate between November 12, 2014 and December 11, 2014.
