It depends on who you are. If you like the sound of a cello play a cello. If you like flutes play a Flute. Both are wonderful instruments.

To be honest I think the Cello is better because it is easier to play even if the sound you make is not in tune.
I am not a specialist at instruments but I learn the Clarinet. Flute is a much harder instrument as you have to learn how to blow in to it properly and fingering notes is harder to do on the side. But it does make a lovely harmonizing sound. Clarinet is easier and by learning the clarinet you can easily go on to the Saxophone because everything is the same just the shape and less keys. Hope this helped :)
A flute is a woodwind instrument that plays normally plays from middle C to C (three octaves higher than middle C); whereas the cello is a string instrument that plays from C (two octaves below middle C) to E (an octave above middle C).
That's a question that boils down to personal preference. are you asking which is easier to learn and play?
That's like asking which is better, apples or bananas? comparing apples to apples would be better.
I've played both, and the Trumpet was easier to learn. the flute is harder to hold. The trumpet has more range. But for elegance the flute wins hands down.
You are open to more instruments with the trumpet, because more instruments play like the trumpet.
well it happens to be your choice my choice is the violin it sounds better then the flute it has a soft sound loud sound high pitched sound to so it is your choice i like the violin so don't know if you like it.
Since better is an opinionated word it can not be represented accurately, therefore there is no correct answer.
Cello
The violin and cello are both beautiful instruments. This is a question where people can answer differently based on their opinions. The violin has a higher, brighter sound while the cello has a lower, dark, and smooth one.
The cello has a C string and is lower in pitch than the violin.
A cello can play in the range of a violin (much of it), if that's what you mean, but a violin's highest note is much higher than a cello's highest note.
The 'cello is larger than the viola, which is larger than the violin.
A 'cello produces a lower pitch than a violin.

I have played cello for two years now, and I think that the cello is a very smooth instrument. It has a rich smooth sound (I also play violin and cello sounds better) that many people love. =)
