What is the difference between a red dot sight and a laser sight?
The difference is that red-dot sights have contained aiming reticles, whereas laser sights use an emitted laser beam that must fall onto a target. Red-dot sights are used mainly for more accurate ADS (aiming down sight) firing and laser sights allow for less-accurate, but made more so, shoulder-firing.
Why does a bullet rise in flight?
It doesn't. As soon as a bullet leaves the muzzle gravity takes over and it starts to drop. ADDING: The bullet only appears to rise because it crosses paths with the line of the sights. A rifle's sights are usually located 1 to 2.5 inches above the center of the barrel. If you're going for style and functionality You could buy an EoTech Holographic sight. These sights are around $80 new. they are high quality and very useful. these sights are clase range sight, but I use another attachment called an EoMagnifier. this goes just behind the EoTech holographic and magnifies the view. this can give you better sight, but not limit your close range. Red dot sight and reflex sights are also good for close range. mid range sights such as acogs are better for GBB's and guns with higher firepower and lower Rate of Fire. Snipers should use scopes.
