What is the difference between trombone and tuba?

well... a Trombone uses a slide to make different notes and a tuba has valves to press down to make notes. a trombone sits on your shoulder while you play it. a tuba sits on your leg or on a chair. a trombone weighs a lot less than a tuba

Both are brass instuments, but a french horn is a valved instrument, and the tubes are arranged in a circular shape, whereas on a trombone normally the pitch is changed by moving a slide up and down. A trombone's tubing is arranged in a long, thin shape. Also, a french horn is held in front of the musician, with one hand on the keys and one in the bell. A trombone is held over the musician's left shoulder, with one hand holding the instrument in place and the other working the slide. Finally, the french horn is normally in F (sometimes in Bb, and more advanced horns can play in both F and Bb), while trombones are often in Bb or C.

A Trombone is nothing more than a giant tuning slide. You play it by buzzing into the mouth piece and pulling the slide to accommodate the note your trying to play.

A Tuba is just a huge baritone/Trumpet. You buzz into the mouthpiece and hold down the correct valves to create the note you need.

there's a big difference. have you looked them up online? tuba is a lot bigger then a french horn. although french horn does go low tuba goes lower. tuba is heavier then a french horn.

the difference is that the french horn is a brass instrument a Saxophone isn't. also with the french horn you have to put your hand in it. last, the saxophone has a reed.
