I don't know which movie you are talking about, but I'm guessing Episode II.
If it is, Geonosis.
The droid army was built on Geonosis; the Separatists pay the Geonosians to build their droids.
Battle droids were manufactured on a number of Sepratist planets. The one shown in "Attack of the Clones" was Geonosis.

Generally, Cloning has no negative side. Clones can be programmed to obey their duties. But while the clones were being generated, they were made to respond to Order 66, which means- "destroy the Jedi"
I'm yet to see ' The Island' due to my large distaste of movies I deem to be loosely based off of other ideas. But after reading the synopsis and watching the trailer I think I got the general idea of the plot. I'm not entirely certain of this, but I think 'The Island', or at least parts of it, are based on Nancy Farmers, 'The House Of The Scorpion' book, due to 'The House Of The Scorpion' being created years earlier. Similarities present in both the movie and the book are the concept of a futuristic world. A world where human clones are grown and harvested for their organs, unbeknowest to the clones. Another similarity is the clone figuring out, or in the case of 'The Island', "the clones" figuring out, what they actually are, and what they were created for.
Stress Relief. Season 5, Episode 14/15. It's about Stanley suffering a heart attack from Dwight's insane fire drill. A big part of it came from Stanley being stressed. So, Michael decided that it would help Stanley's stress to have a roast of himself (Michael).

It is unstated. I believe that they were not clones, or had no intention of being clones as they were varied in height sometimes. They were called storm troopers, not clone troopers, so they would have been ordinary men. They must have enlisted.
