From Lake of the Woods to the St Lawrence river, the International Boundary between Canada and the US runs through approximately fifty lakes and rivers.
The rivers are: Rainy River, Pigeon River, St Marys River, St Clair River, Detroit River, Niagara River and St Lawrence River. (The Height of Land runs between Rainy River and Pigeon River.)
Most of the lakes are small and are located in the Quetico Provincial Park area. Notable lakes include Lake of the Woods, Rainy Lake, Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake St Clair, Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.
