Australia and Antarctica are continents by geographical definition. They are islands in that they are completely surrounded by water.

For this reason, they may both be referred to as island continents.

Iceland, Jamaica, Madagascar and Sri Lanka are all countries (and there are more) which consist of one island, which the country fully occupies. There are several countries which consist of a number of islands: Trinidad and Tobago, the Comoros, and Japan for example.
