You can pretty much use any antifreeze you like. When you do the drain and fill try flushing the system out also. I've been replacing all of mine with the new Prestone.."mixes with any antifreeze" stuff. It's easy to find just about anywhere and I don't have to worry about what color gets put in down the road.
A 98 Chevrolet 3500 truck holds 3 gallons of antifreeze. Much of the coolant is stored in the block which is difficult to completely drain when servicing.
It will use normal antifreeze and it should be mixed 50/50 with water. It does not matter.
correct antifreeze for 2006 dodge ram diesel truck

go under truck from behind the passenger front wheel. you should see the drain plug sticking out from under the oil pan
First, drain your radiator, the drain plug should be on the bottom right of the raditor facing the truck. The top radiator hose is attached to the thermostat housing, remove it, there should only be two bolts to remove from the housing, take those out, pop out thermostat, clean housing apply new gasket put new thermostat in, the same dirrection you took the old one out, put her back together, add antifreeze till full, start truck and add more antifreeze until full, and your done. Good Luck Larry
