It depends. Yeasts are capable of different types of respiration at different times within their growth phases.

I think yeast which are single celled organism and breaths anearobically and during this process yield alcohol. I am anyway not clear about anearobic breathing.

Glycolysis occurs in the cytoplasm during the first stage of respiration.

When do green plants carry on respiration?

both photosynthesis and cellular respiration occurs during the day, however, during the night when there is no sunlight only cellular respiration occurs.

What is alcoholic fermentation and where does it occur?

Yeast turns sugar into alcohol and carbon dioxide to produce energy (anaerobic respiration), it occurs just about wherever there is yeast and sugar.

Reduction of oxygen which forms water occurs during?

The reduction of oxygen that forms water occurs during respiration. It occurs when oxygen and hydrogen mix to form what is called metabolic water.

This process occurs during the light reactions of photosynthesis.

What determines whether yeast ferments or respires?

Yeast is a great example of Cellular Respiration. In a normal (Anaerobic) reaction, yeast breaks down sugar to release carbon dioxide and ethyl alcohol. When oxygen is added to the sugar and yeast, Aerobic respiration occurs. This releases more energy and less carbon dioxide than Anaerobic respiration. Of course, the reactions have to occur very close to 40 degrees Celsius or the yeast will die. If temperatures are too low, the reaction will not occur.

What chemical substance do yeast consume?

Yeast uses sugar in respiration.Glucose is the primary substrate. This is oxidized during respiration

Where respiration occurs?

Respiration occurs in the cells.

Cells don't do fermentation, the yeast does. Cells don't do fermentation, the yeast does.

How yeast excrete?

Yeast excrete CO2 after they undergo respiration.
