this engine is used in many Toyota models. It is the performance engine in the two liter range it has the same block as the 3sfe but has a wide valve angle cylinder head this is where it gets its performance from. as for cars it is used in there is the mr2 sw20,celica gt4,caldinagt,t,im sure there are more but i can't think of them at the mo.Hope this helps
what car? you'll need the proper ecu and wiring harness for the jdm 3sgte. thats all i can say for sure without more info.
If you have a 2.2(GT) Yes... If you have a 1.8(ST) Then no... The Toyota 'S' Series Engines... 3Sgte, and 5Sfe Have the same bolt patten -Brad
you just dont, you buy a 3sgte and then youl be set.
yes you can with some slight mod to the mounts and ze axels
3sfe 5sfe 3sgte
Yes. Check out www.celicatech.com for lots of swap information.
speed-source.com, look for the mr2 mk1.5 mount kit
The 3SGTE motor is completely different from the 4AGE or 3A motor, simple answer is no.
5SFE(no-turbo MkII) are dirt cheap. You can get a decent one with transmission and ECU for less than $2000. Gen2 3SGTE (MkII USDM turbo) are a little more than $2K. Gen3 3SGTE (MkII JDM turbo 95-99) be ready to pay through the nose for one of these. They are hard to come by and very expensive (Roughly $4K). The advantage is a better intake and exhaust set up. Stock Hp is about 245. If you are into modding your cars this engine is the one for you.
Go with a 3rd gen 3sgte. Turbocharged 245 stock hp 2.0L With nothing more than a front mount intercooler and a boost controller you can easily make 300+whp
No, It will cost you $$$ to swap that it. The b16 is from Honda. You can go 4age 20v Blacktop, 4agze, 4age Slivertop, 4efte, 3sgte, 2zzge, or 1zzfe with supercharger. Those all depends where you live, emission wise.
3e-e, 5efe, 5efhe, 4efte, 3ete, will all bolt up and be the cheapest. a 4age, 4agze, or 3sgte will fit with some frame modifications. basically you can put in any motor that will fit in the engine bay if you got enough cash.
