In most practices in the USA, there is no "pharmacist". The doctors (Vets) can write the prescription, and other staff fills them. I suppose a practice could hire a pharmacy tech, but it wouldn't seem to make fiscal sense to pay someone extra for their special pharmacy/drug knowledge when anyone in the practice can fill prescriptions written by the Vets.
The cost of docking a tail varies from area to area and can vary between vets in the same area. To get an accurate cost for docking the tail, call several vets in your area.
The cost to dispose of a dead cat depends on the Vets office. Typically, it will cost between $150 and $200.
No and double no. You need to take your Bichon into your Vets office to have her or him checked over. Benadryl can be given safely but what are you giving it for, what symptoms, what dosage? That is why it is safest to take your dog into the Vets office for some good medical advice first.
Vets, or veterinarians, fund their own offices. They provide a service by treating sick and injured animals, for which they receive a fee. Their fee is determined by themselves, but is comparable to that of other vets in the same area. So as such, they are self employed, and are responsible for all overhead expenses of running the veterinarian business.

This would be either a vet tech or a vet assistant.
Many small animal vets who work in an office, tend to work traditional Monday-Friday office hours 8am-5pm/9am-6pm and often work Saturdays as well. They often work on-call during evenings and weekends to cover emergencies as needed.
