The Pressure wave is a longitudinal wave - it is a compression/rarefaction wave and has the highest velocity.
The Secondary wave is a transverse wave (side to side) and is much slower.
On a seismograph, p-waves reach first.
P-waves are longitudinal waves, i.e. the energy travels through compression and expansion of the material medium, like sound waves. The movement of particles is in the direction of the wave propagation. They travel at roughly double the speed of S-waves (6-13 km/s in earth's crust)
S-waves are transverse waves; the movement of the particles is perpendicular to the direction of wave propagation. Speed: 3.5-7.5 km/s
First The P Waves Come. Then Comes The S. After the S come the L Wave.
P waves arrive first because the move faster than S waves.
A trick to remembering this:
P waves - Primary waves
S waves - Secondary waves
The P wave, the compression wave, for it travels the fastest.
Becasue the SA node transmits its electrical impulse before the AV node does.
the P waves hit the seismograph first.
Primary Waves
P-waves are normally the first to arrive.
In vacuum they reach ground exactly at the same time. In a medium other than vacuum the ball will reach ground first.
Reach recording stations first.
tHE BALL OF PAPER WOULD REACH THE GROUND FIRST. tHE RECTANGLE SHAPE WILL REACH LATER DUE TO THE AIR FOIL EFFECT(float down). iN A VACUUM THEY WOULD DROP THE SAME. Gravity is 9.8 m/s2.
they will both reach at same time and speed. due to gravity measurement and many different answers. so due know though it isn't safe to test.
They will both hit the ground at the same time.

Primary waves
P-waves are the first seismic waves to arrive at a seismograph station.
P
S-waves cannot travel through the earth's outer core as it is liquid. Surface (Love and Rayleigh) waves cause the most damage to buildings. P-waves are the first to arrive at seismograph stations.
The fast is primary wave which travels through liguid, solid and gas. This how Geologist know the outer core is liquid. Secondary waves travel through only solid. The primary wave are the first to reach the seismograph.
when waves from an earthquake reach the instrament, the inertia of the weight keeps it stationary, while earth and the support vibrate. Seismographs amplify and electronically record ground motion.
A surface wave is the last seismic wave to arrive after an earthquake.
The first mission on Reach is Noble Actual. The first PLAYABLE mission is Winter Contingency.
