Firstly, don't call people nerds. It's really quite mean. Harry Potter is a fictional wizard created by JK Rowling. His story is told throughout seven books, six of which have been made into films. People everywhere love the books. Those nerds are not nerds. They are Harry Potter fans. Edit: This answer doesn't really need to be improved upon, I would just like to add that Harry Potter fans are the most awesome people you will be lucky enough to meet. We breathe awesome with every breath. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

Dorks are the kids in school that are clumsy and quirky. Dweebs are people who try too hard to be funny and to fit in with people that want nothing to do with them. Nerds are people who are all about studying and all about school with no care in the world for a social life. Geeks, which are usually confused with nerds, are the students who tend to be teachers' pet, they have somewhat of a life but are still highly involved with their school and are usually seen hanging out with nerds because, unlike them, they need help with the school part of their lives.
