zues is the son of cronus who is the son of uranus. Everytime cronus had a child he would eat them to keep them from defeating him and taking over the throne. Cronus ate all of zues's brothers and sisters as infants but Zues's mom did not like him doing this and so after Zues was born his mother gave Cronus a rock wrapped in a blanket that looked like an infant. Cronus downs the rock and thinks he ate baby zues. Zues's mom then takes zues and give him to the nymphs Ida and Adestia. He is wet-nursed by a goat and grows to manhood. Zues then gets kings minos's daughter to make a draught that will make cronus puke. Zues gives the drink to cronus and Cronus spits up all Zues's brothers and sisters who are fully grown. Cronus is thrown in a hole where he cant get out. Zues takes power and rules mt. olympus
