Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are the central three of the Hindu gods.

1. Brahma - Creator

2. Vishnu - Preserver

3. Shiva - Destroyer

The three gods are together known as Trimurti and their counterparts, Tridevi.

  1. Brahma enables us to execute an action independent of our status. This fact is symbolized in Hinduism by the lotus. Thus, he plays a vital role not only in creativity but also in equality.
  2. Being god of creativity and having the ability to make activities independent of rest of our life, Brahma can make our life Demonic. It is for this fact that Brahma is not worshiped.
  3. Originally an independent god, now he is supposed to originate from the navel of Vishnu. Vishnu corresponds to abdomen of Purusha. Vishnu represents the semi voluntary force. The voluntary component of this force correspond to navel. Thus, the origin of Brahma from the navel of Vishnu is based on absolute facts.
  4. Vishnu is the default Hindu god. The name Narayana actually means dwelling place of man.
  5. Most Hindu festivals are based on Vishnu He banishes fluctuation in life.
  6. He makes all activities of life dependent on our status. Therefore, Vishnu is the only Hindu god responsible for discrimination. He is the only god who reincarnates He is the only Hindu god who enables us to know our real worth.
  7. Shiva is the most powerful of the Trimurti.
  8. However, the mighty for Shiva can be used for exceptional activities only.
  9. He enables us to divert interest from unimportant to important activities.
  10. The major advantage of Shiva over Vishnu is that while Vishnu maintains status quo Shiva enables us to progress. He is called destroyer because he banishes from our consciousness the activity he enables us to executes at a higher status, immediately after it has served the purpose.

None of these three gods alter our status, in contrast to Shani and Yama.

The supreme Hindu god Brahman is made of two opposing elements. They are,1. Saguna Brahman - the facilitating force that converts a thought into an action2. Nirguna Brahman - the retarding force that converts an action into a thought and even abolishes it.In Brahman the two components are distinctly separate. This make activity and rest 100% efficient with Brahman.SIMILARITIES AMONG BRAHMA, VISHNU AND SHIVA:Like Brahman, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are made of Saguna Brahman and Nirguna Brahman only.In Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva the two components always coexist making both activity and rest less efficient.DIFFERENCE AMONG BRAHMA, VISHNU AND SHIVA:Among Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, the arrival of the retarding component in relation to the facilitating component is different. In Brahma the retarding component arrives early, in Vishnu in the middle and in Shiva at a still later stage. This makes Brahma more suitable for thinking than Shiva. Shiva is more suitable for action and thus is considered as the most powerful of the three.Vishnu is equally good for thinking and action. However, it is not as good as Brahma for thinking and not as powerful as Shiva for actions.

Shiva is the Almighty. Everything starts with him. So you will not have a father for either him or Vishnu or Brahma.
