It is difficuilt to gauge how many players have '' Scored '' for both teams, as there have only been ten players who have played for both between the years of 1912 to 1997.From records from what I can find, roughly out of the nine players that have made the switch only six players have scored for both teams, these being ;Tom Miller - played for Liverpool from 1912 to 1920 and played for Manchester United from 1920 onwards,Fred Hopkin - played for Manchester United between 1919 and 1921 scoring 8 goals, and then went onto play for Liverpool from 1921 to 1931 and scored 10 goals,Ted Savage - played at Liverpool for 7 years ( 1931 - 1938 ) scoring 2 goals, and then went onto play for Manchester United from 1938 onwards,Thomas McNulty - started at Manchester United in 1949 an went on to play for Liverpool from 1954,Phil Chisnall - was the last player to be directly transferred between the two teams, having started at Manchester United, playing from 1959 - 1964 scoring 8 goals. When he was directly sold to Liverpool he scored 1 goal in six games between 1964 - 1967.From 1967 there has only been two players to play for both Manchester United and Liverpool, but not being sold directly. These two players were Peter Beardsley and Paul Ince, although Beardsley never scored a goal for Manchester United, only appearing in one game.Paul Ince - played for Manchester United between the 1989 - 1995 seasons, scoring 25 goals. He was then sold to Inter Milan, and went onto play for Liverpool in the 1997 - 1999 season, scoring 14 goals.Michael Owen - played for Liverpool from 1998 to 2004 and joined Manchester United in 2009.
