since Bangkok is not yet finished, i believe the triad and yakuza choices will be the basis of fights because if you noticed the fight in Bangkok is not yet available so that means a new feature is being worked on for that. i think that if you supported triads, you can only fight mafias that are supporting yakuza. I'm not sure but this is what i think of it.

At this point in the Beta Stage, the Triads have a greater Defense where as the Yakuza have a higher attack. This is being determined by the FACTIONS store of each. So in order to decide at this point it is a matter of game style. IF you are a MOGUL, or a High energy account you might want to consider TRIAD for the protection against attacker. For Fighting account there is no question YAKUZA, supplemented with good defensive items from MOSCOW you would do well. If your energy is ridiculously high then you could get the best of both worlds by balancing the jobs as to increase trust in both factions. More play testing has to be done to see if this is a viable strategy so for now I would advise you too examine you play style and choose what suits it
