The Bible doesn't mention or prophesy of only "four antichrists."

John tells us, based on Jesus' warning to His "called-out-ones" [ekklesia; church] -- Matt.24:4-5, that since the advent of God's church of the last days:

"...EVEN NOW are there MANY ANTICHRISTS..." (I John 2:18).

Jesus, John and the apostles spoke of many "false Christians" [antichrists] as getting their start from within God's church:

"They went out from us, but they were not of us..." (verse 19).

This is from whence came the literally hundreds of confused and divided "Christs" of the modern professing Christian denominations, today.

"For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." (Matt.24:5)

"For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." (II John 1:7)

The confession that "Jesus is come in the flesh" is a study unto itself and the source of much confusion among the modern denominations of professing Christianity.

"Four antichrists?" The Bible makes no such claim. Since the latter day advent of God's church, when Jesus ascended into heaven... there have been and are many antichrists in the world.

Antichrist isn't a "person"... it's a prevailing "spiritual attitude" in the world that HATES JESUS CHRIST and everything He stands for. It's the "spirit of disobedience" to God's laws that is so appealing to man's nature:

"Because the carnal mind [man's carnal nature] is enmity [hostile] against God: for it is not subject to the laws of God, neither indeed can be." (Rom.8:7).

The "spirit of antichrist" is a deceptive spirit that works on and in all men... even those in God's church, who need to be made aware of it... and be more discerning of it and alert to it.

"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience." (Eph.2:2)

"Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." (Eph.5:6)

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God... Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh [there's that confusing issue among the denominations again] is of God: and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST, whereof ye have heard [from Jesus, Himself - Matt.24:4-5] that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." (I John 4:1-3)

Amid modern professing Christianity today is a deceptive teaching that "THE Antichrist" is coming. A teaching not found in the Bible. Yet, the teachers of this deception get paid for their work, even as millions of deceived people look for "him." Nowhere does the Bible say: Watch out for, or look for, or beware of, or here comes "the Antichrist."

The great misguided leaders of history weren't "the Antichrist"... but men of great influence who were led by the "spirit of disobedience" [some, personally possessed of that spirit] who brought destruction to many peoples and nations. Nor is that spirit done with this world.

This "spirit" is not interested in the "little guy." He's got thousands of minions [unclean spirits; demons] to handle the "small jobs." Satan is interested in the deception and destruction of God's called-out Children, first... and in guiding and deceiving world leaders, kings, premiers and presidents, second.

"...they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the KINGS of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that Great Day of God Almighty [Armageddon - verse 16]." (Rev.16:14)

The Bible doesn't say there are or will be: "four antichrists." It says "there are MANY antichrists." It's a "spiritual entity," the formerly loyal and highly vaunted angel, Lucifer, surnamed Satan the Devil who hates Jesus, God's laws, and anything connected with God... like man and all the rest of God's creation. And from the beginning, even unto and beyond the time Jesus first ascended into heavens that His Holy Spirit might be sent to teach and guide His called-out-ones: "...even now already is it in the world."
