Best Answer

Mawson Station is a permanent base in Antarctica managed by the Australian Antarctic Division . Named after the explorer, Douglas Mawson, it is not only Australia's oldest Antarctic station, but the oldest continuously inhabited Antarctic station of any nation.

It houses approximately 20 personnel over winter and 60 in summer. They would be a mix of scientists and personnel with engineering backgrounds and probably a cook.
