They were buried in a hill near his home in Palmyra, New York. The hill is now called the Hill Cumorah.

They raised money to publish 2,000 copies of "Choice Selections from the Book of Mormon" and brought this translation with them on a mission to Mexico. The first complete translation of the Book of Mormon into Spanish was completed in 1886 by Mileton G. Trejo and James Z. Stewart. This was later revised by Rey L. Pratt and Eduardo Balderas.
