∙ 11y agoHagrid is the one who actually carried Harry (on Sirius's flying motorcycle), but Dumbledore was the one who insisted that Harry lived with the Dursleys.
He did this because the magic that protected Harry after Lily's sacrifice would have transferred to her sister, Petunia, therefore protecting the Dursleys' entire house.
