That is why the Aztecs could settle undisturbed and could quickly expand without being attacked until they were well prepared against any foreign invasion (by foreign I mean by other native tribes, such as the Tlaxcalans, Texcocans or any other tribes that resided in Mexico besides the Aztecs).
