People in good standing with their own church, those who normally receive Holy Communion in their own churches. This is as well as Anglicans, who are expected to have prepared for this by prayer and fasting beforehand. Reconciliation (confession) is also available for those who are in need of it.

∙ 12y agoThat is a Protestant term. Nobody in the Catholic Church takes communion, they receive communion as it is given freely by Christ. All baptized Catholics who are in a state of grace and have received their First Holy Communion and have fasted at least one hour before Mass may receivecommunion.
