Answer

Mary was declared to be The Theotokos (God-bearer) by the Third Ecumenical Council at Ephesus in 431 AD. She is also known as the Mother of God because she is the mother of Jesus who is God the Word.

Actually we are using King and Queen in the lanquage of someone born in the age the Book of New Testament was written. Mary Mother of God, is because of the holy Trinity. We pray the rosary with respect of Mary Mother of god, because we know Mary is Jesus mother and we know she listens and deliver our message to God.
