Samuel. See reference below.
1And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision. 2And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see; 3And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; 4That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. 5And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down. 6And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again. 7Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him. 8And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. 9Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. 11And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. 12In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end. 13For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not. 14And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever. Exodus 33:11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend....... Paul on the Damascus road.
4And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. 7And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
Also everyone to whom Jesus spoke while on earth.
Her voice is barely audible. When sound is heard, it is audible.
Yes. God speaking, though, wont be an audible voice from heaven as in Bible Times. God may use someone else to show you or communicate to you. But, we never really can know if a person truly is an angel sent by God or not.
I don't think god audibly speaks. I think he speaks through what he does for you.
It means exactly what it says...many people pray and don't give God time to answer! God does speak, and He uses the Bible, other people, His audible voice (VERY rarely!) and most of all, His still, small voice that speaks to your spirit. There is a song that says: "Be still and know that I am God." When we quiet ourselves and really turn our attention to Jesus, that's when we hear Him more clearly. That's what the saying means. :)
when you are alone not on meds and there is a lack of static in his/her voice. that and what he/she says remotely makes sense. On the contrary,Too often people think God is speaking to them because they have stopped taking their meds. But seriously,God rarely if ever speaks to humans in an audible voice. It is easier to be certain when God is not speaking to you: God would not lead you to do anything that is contrary to Scripture, ethics or morality.
According to the accounts of God and Adam's interactions prior to being expelled from the garden after "The Fall," we would have to conclude that God not only audibly talked with Adam, but also walked with Adam and Eve in the garden. In order to do so, God would have to manifest in physical form, a thing we know He can do. Did God's physical form ever appear to man after the garden? Sure, we called Him Jesus.
only if you truley believe in the lord will you hear his voice and it wil be in your heartRoman Catholic AnswerYes, of course you can "hear" God talking to you, but only if you "listen". First of all, God doesn't usually talk to you in an audible voice. In a few instances He does, this is know as a locution. But the saints tell us that we should always reject such hearing as it is usually not God but either our own imaginations or the devil. God most frequently speaks to us through the Scriptures, which is why we should read the Bible frequently and regularly. He always talks to us through his ministers: bishops, priests, and deacons; and through our everyday interactions with other people and in the world. This is why you need to set aside time each day to speak to God in quiet meditation so that you can learn to hear His Voice when He does speak to you in these ways.
It refers to the octave of voice, or range, from e flat 4 to e flat 5. That starts at the 4th audible octave of e flat and continues to the 5th audible octave of e flat.
Mind and Heart. They speak to us, but never audible to others.
He actually spoke to Elijah in a still, small voice.
The cast of The Voice of God - 2011 includes: Harish Bhimani as Voice of God
voice of God = kol elohim (קול אלוקים)
A series of high frequency moans, clicks and whistle, some which are audible to our ears.
Listening for God is usually done in a quiet secluded place. Even if you were in this situation, just to sit and hope that God will speak to you does not ofter occure. One must have a reason for God to speak personally to you. God does not usually do this, this is what the Holy Spirit is for. It is he who will tell you by a still small voice or by a sensation within you what God has for you. As an added piece of knowledge God has given all power to His son Jesus Christ to act on His behalf. So if anyone does speak to you it will be Christ.
It is to speak using a special voice modulation. Also to speak in a singing voice.
Yes God does speak to people, He spoke to the prophets.
The voice of God in the Ten Commandments (1956) movie was Charlton Heston, but that voice was heavily modified and edited. In the 2004 DVD release of the movie, Heston in an interview admitted that he was the voice of God.
The sound we make when we speak.
Yes, they have a language therefore they have a voice to speak that language.
Papa Legba is the guardian of the crossroads. He allows or denies mortals to speak to the Loa and the Guede. He is always the first called to in ceremonies, and acts as 'the voice of God'.
let I be spoken to when I speak to you
According to IMDB.com, the voice of God in the burning bush scene was that of Charlton Heston.
It is because their voice boxes are that way. Are voice boxes make certain sounds, and their voice box makes those types of sounds. Also, their shape could echo and turn the sound into the audible sound you hear.
God speaks, and that means we can hear him. But how can you hear him if you cannot recognize his voice, and how can you recognize his voice if you do not speak his language and how can you speak his language if you do not know him. God can be known and he can be understood. You will hear him if you allow his Spirit into your heart by accepting Jesus as your Lord and saviour. Hmmm. I don't think God is limited to one language, nor do I think that God speaks to us audibly - that is to say aloud. He knows what we are thinking even before we think it. I believe that if you think what you did or are doing is wrong, then it is your conscience talking to you. Through your conscience, you are guided (or not) to do the good things that God has commanded. I believe that when your conscience bothers you, it is a way of God speaking with you.
The voice of God was mostly Val Kilmer, so Kilmer is essentially talking to himself, since he also is the voice of Moses...
