Private Mellish was an ordinary strong man, but in the movie Saving Private Ryan Private Mellish get into a brutal fight with a Nazi Soldier...Private Mellish dies in the process. yes several EDIT: There are several, As the first answer shows... BUT, In the beginning (when they storm the beach) Hundreds of guys die, and A LOT of the men are dragging their dead, wounded, or close to death men. The Opening scene is one of the scenes which is Accurate, And has a lot of that. Another part is in the middle of the movie, When (not gonna say who) dies, and all the men say it was a tragic death.
