it was Harold cranbore who discovered the cranberry, and it was his brother, Samuel, who invented the cranberry juice. On a Thanksgiving night, their backyard was full of cranberry trees but they didn't have anything to go with the feast like different sauces. Harold and their mother babara nikol smith cranbore brought in some cranberries to snack on during the feast. Their father, Nicholas Benjamin Cranbore, had tripped and smashed the berries all over the turkey. No one would touch it except Samuel who urged them to try this "cranberry sauce". they all took a bite and gave credit of this delicious discovery in1786
