Who do you think the Republican's should nominate for President in 2012?
Newt Gengrich should go for it, very smart guy. Nice change from the Socialism we have now with Obama. I mean is he serious with that health care reform plan. Good things that's getting shot down.
A good president should be fair, understanding, open-minded (not too much), someone who sticks to the constitution, preferably not either too republican or democrat, intelligent (not exactly the same as smart), not prejudiced, caring, and hopefully a good speaker. This also comes down to a matter of opinion. Republicans and democrats each have a different definition of a good president. But I think all these qualities are agreed with by both leftists and rightists.
Well the Republicans are in trouble presently. They do have Sarah Palin who the republicans love, but the independents might stick w/ President Obama. Huckabee or Romney might be godd contenders also. But, i think Sarah Palin has a good chance at 2012. Of course, it's WAY to early to say. Anything can happen.
I don't know much about her life, but I don't think that she should be a vice president or president. I say president because supposedly she wants to run for president in 2012. How did Andrew Jackson's background and life experiences contribute to his version of reconstruction?
There is evidence that a majority of Republicans believe it should be privatized: most Republicans today say they believe in smaller government, and say that it is not the role of government to provide or administer social welfare or entitlement programs. Republicans believe private companies should run such programs. Democrats disagree: Social Security began under the administration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and since 1935, it has been a popular and successful program; Democrats see no…
According to their respective official 2012 national platforms, Democrats think it should be recognized by the federal government and encourage the individual states to legalize it. Republicans believe it should be banned by state and federal statutes plus amendments to the federal and state constitutions, effectively annuling all existing same-sex marriages and prohibiting states from ever legalizing it.
First, it should be noted that whenever a country is polarized, people from the party that is out of power are often very angry at the president, no matter what he does. When President Bush was in power, his opponents often accused him of doing a terrible job, and partisans said he ought to be impeached. These days, you hear Republicans (especially those who have talk shows) make similar accusations against Barack Obama This is…
I think it is too soon to even make a good guess. Obama has two years to strengthen or weaken his position. The Republicans will need to come up with an attractive candidate that will be acceptable to both the "Tea Party" people and the old guard Republicans. Whether Obama chooses to run again may depend on who steps forward for the Republicans- I am not sure that he will run again and if not…
I don't believe there is a set limit, but obviously they'd like you to nominate sparingly. I know the man who nominated me has nominated at least 4 total squires, so that can be your assumed maximum. I don't think I'd push it any farther than that. It should be something granted only to those who will respect the position.
They don't. They, and other fiscal responsibly people, thinks that the annual increase that retirees get should closely match the increases that American wage earner gets. Other wise, the percent of wages of American workers will have to go up to pay the retirees, or the retirement fund will go broke. Like the President says, it's simple math.
IT IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE THAT PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS NOT SUBMITTED A BUDGET FOR EVERY YEAR HE'S BEEN PRESIDENT, AS STATED BY EVERY REPUBLICAN TALKING HEAD. fact is it's law that it be submitted and he has done that. You should instead ask republicans in congress why they've blocked very budget he's submitted? Why would republicans lie you ask? Why do you think? that's what they do, that's who they are. they have an agenda…
Why did Henry Clay put John Quincy Adams for president if Andrew Jackson should have been president?
Obviously Clay did not think that Jackson should be president. He did not think that Jackson had the kind of experience that a president needed and thought the Adams did. He also wanted to be president himself someday soon and knew that Adams would appoint him to the office of secretary of state, which at that time was the stepping stone to the presidency.
