At first he loved starfire but when he and starfire were making out in the swimming pool starfire asked whether he loves her but to both his and her surprise he said no. They ended their relationship starfire swore she loved him. After that starfire went to a psychalogist. Nightwing met batgirl and they fell in love. They got married in the end.
Bat girl and mightwing lovers no offence but starfire and nightwing are more romantic together

Why is robins and ravens love forbidden?
First, their love is forbidden because Nightwing and Koriand'r belong together, and Raven and BeastBoy belong together. Second, In Raven's second life Raven becomes evil (because of her father Trigon) and confuses herself into loving Nightwing, but when she dies and is brought back in her third life everything is resolved and she falls in love with Beastboy (her true love). btw Robin is Nightwing and Koriand'r is Starfire
