The female lions, or lionesses, are the ones that do the majority of the hunting in a pride of lions. The males stay back and protect the territory as well as the cubs
Lions live in prides. The pride is headed by one or two male lions with many female lions and cubs. The male lions role is predominantly to mate with the lionesses and protect the pride. The female lions do bulk of the hunting for the pride. However in case of large prey like a water buffalo or a giraffe, the males too take part in the effort to bring down the prey
Lions are ambush hunters. They hunt as a group. They stay low and hidden and go near an unsuspecting prey like a Gazelle or a Zebra and then once sufficiently close, they sprint and take down the prey. All animals of the pride take part in the hunt.

Humans are the only predators of lions. They were once hunted for sport, and their hides, teeth, and claws, were collected as trophies. Nowadays lions are a protected species though they are still killed illegally by poachers.
lions are hunted by people
Humans are the only creatures that hunt lions. There was a time when lions were hunted for sport, and their hides, teeth, and claws were collected as trophies. Now, because of declining numbers, lions are protected, though poachers still hunt them illegally.
The lion has few actual threats. Their greatest danger is humans.
A lion can easily handle a single hyena, but a pack of hyenas would make short work of a lion.
nothing can eat a lion by George aged 11 and a 1/2
Lions are at the top of the food chain. So no other animal would consistently prey on a lion. However lions, when dead can be eaten by decomposers like fungi (mushroom like things) and things like maggots (small bugs) and so only when the lion dies, scavengers eat them. Some scavengers include vultures and hyenas. Otherwise when lions are alive, those same scavengers would be on the lions menu! Also we humans eat them you can even find them at some restaurants!
Lions have no predators other than man, hyena, and wild dog. This is because lions typically live in prides which is a group of females and anywhere between 1 to 5 male lions. It is infrequent for them to live life as a single lion.
Man does not eat lion per se, nor does hyena. But wild dogs will eat a lion. On a very rare occasion, a large constricting snake or an alligator may kill and eat a lion. Nevertheless, lion is not a regular part of any animal's diet.
Lions are often killed by other lions, but they don't eat each other. Elephant, rhinoceros, African buffalo, hippopotamus can and will kill lions and sometimes a lion is killed by a lucky kick from a grazing animal that the lion is trying to kill. However, these animals do not eat meat and, thus, only kill lions in self-defense, to defend their offspring, or for revenge. Elephants have been known to hunt down and kill the exact lions who have killed one of their calves.
When a lion dies, its body returns to the earth and is consumed by bacteria, parasite, and scavengers--the same as any other living creature, large or small.
Humans
They are at the top of the food chain. King of the jungle....

If it is a normal house cat, nobody hunts them. Dogs just chase them cuz they think that the cat are plaing along. Mountain cats get hunted by BIGGER cats, such has mountain lion ect.
It is usually the females in a pride of lions that do the hunting. The dominate male lion will eat first, even when he has done nothing to help during the hunt.
A large crocodile can kill a lion if the lion happens to be in the river
Large Nile crocodiles will occasionally kill and eat a lion that enters its environment.
Lions hunt alone as a family pride. At a kill, hyenas (if they outnumber the lions) might, by weight of numbers, force the lions to retreat and leave the kill to the hyenas.
the female lion hunts more than the male. because the female hunts 97% of the time. and the male lion hunts 3% of the time and stays behind to keep watch of the pride
Cugars and moution lions also do and americans that eat horse meat
There are no cats who hunt in packs. However lions hunt in prides which I think is what you meant.
