The Receiver hangs up first, because the caller cant be sure that the receiver is not speaking anymore, so the best person to hang up is the receiver of the call.
Hope this helps

It can be either way round. Just depends on whose willing enough to hang up or hold on.
If you type "*68" in front of any number, the receiver will have your call as a call from the caller ID of "Private" or "Unknown," thus hiding your identity when picking up.

If your caller ID displays some information about an incoming call, but then shows no evidence of a call when you scroll back later, then your caller ID display is malfunctioning. The rest of your problem sounds like some automated telephone equipment has your number incorrectly programmed in; when the caller doesn't reach the automated equipment it expects to find at your end, it says "Good bye" and hangs up.
Roy Rogers was actually a very good square dance caller according to sources. His first time being the caller was at age ten when the regular caller did not show up. Apparently back in his youth he just happened to memorize the lines.
Push resume. reply: There is no "resume" button, feature, etc. If the 2nd caller hangs up, the 1st call is still active but 'muted'. Other suggestions please ?
Consider the actions just as the receiver is 'slammed'. naturally, when the switch in the base of the apparatus is operated, then sound may no longer travel through the phone. BUT if the handpiece bangs against the apparatus en route to the switch, then that sound will be transmitted. And could be quite loud.
you can't
set up of caller-id on a nortel t7316 telephone
You can make your modem to display caller ID from the settings feature. You should first of all contact your local service provider so as to ensure that you modem supports this feature. You should use USB external dial up software to set up caller ID display.Ê

If your caller hangs up before you can answer the phone just dial *69 and your phone will call them back.
The UUU that shows up on a caller ID does not really mean anything. It is a glitch that occurs when the caller ID can't get the name sometimes.
