Only a few of Shakespeare's plays are believed to be collaborations.

It is thought that Thomas Middleton added the character Hecate and a number of scenes involving her into Macbeth.

Shakespeare trained the already successful playwright John Fletcher to be his replacement. They collaborated on a number of the late plays including, it is believed, Pericles, Henry VIII, and The Two Noble Kinsmen.

Some people believe that Shakespeare had collaborators on some of his early plays, including possibly Greene, but this is unsubstantiated.

Nobody helped him writing most of his plays. But some of them, towards the end of his career, he probably wrote with the guy who was going to replace him when he retired, John Fletcher. Shakespeare and Fletcher wrote one play together for sure: The Two Noble Kinsmen.

Some people think that Shakespeare had help on some of his early plays as well. In particular some think that George Peele helped with Titus Andronicus.

A ghost writer is a person who writes books which are afterwards sold as being written by others. These are chiefly autobiographies by celebrities who are incapable of writing them themselves. The giveaway is usually the words "as told to": "My Life in Hollywood by Starla L'orguielleuse as told to Ernest Scribbler" means that Starla has arranged for Scribbler, the ghost writer, to write her book for her.Could this have happened with Shakespeare? He was a well-known actor, but not a star as Burbage or Alleyn were. And even Burbage and Alleyn did not publish self-glorifying autobiographies of any kind. Nor did any famous person at that time. Nobody was interested in the biographies of famous people then. The raison d'être of ghost writers is that there is a market for books written by specific people which those people are unable to write themselves. But there was no market for "books written by Shakespeare" when he published his first book, the poem Venus and Adonis. And clearly he was capable of writing it himself. There is no reason why Shakespeare would arrange for John Lyly to write things and publish them under Shakespeare's name since 1) the books would sell just as well if sold under Lyly's name and 2) Shakespeare could write better than Lyly anyway.

He wrote the play, but he took the names of the characters and plot from a poem that had already been written.

As far as we know or can guess, Shakespeare wrote Hamlet all by himself. He did have sources, though, including a book by Belleforest and a possible earlier play which no longer exists.
