Gavrilo Princip was not hired to kill Archduke Ferdinand. He was a Serbian nationalist and separatist who was part of the organization known as the Black Hand.

Gavrilo Princip was part of an underground resistance group that opposed Archduke Franz Ferdinand's rule, and the occupation of Serbia. He assassinated the Archduke as an act of patriotism and also because he did not like him.

gavrilo killed archduke franz Ferdinand by shoting him in the throat

Yes the Archduke was shot. He was killed by Gavrilo Princip (check the spelling). He was a Serbian nationalist that was order by Germany to kill the Archduke. He was kiled at the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo.

The first assassin threw a hand grenade and it bounced off of the Archduke and into the next car. The next day Princip used a semiautomatic pistol to kill the Archduke and his wife.

Princip, from Serbia. The Black Hand gave 4 men weapons to kill Archduke Ferdinand.

Sarejevo, Bosnia. Bosnia had been highly contested territory before Austria-Hungary annexed it in 1905.

Gavrillo Princip was one of six assassins involved in the plot to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Ferdinand and his wife Sophie were shot dead, sparking the beginning of World War I.

The Archduke Ferdinand and his wife were shot by Gavrilo Princip using a FN Browning model 1910 pistol. The particular pistol he used is believed to be a .32 caliber.

He was shot by a teenage vagrant, Gavrilo Princip, an inadequate character who had been rejected by the army and several terrorist groups, and wanted to prove that he could kill. Some of his colleagues had also tried to kill the Archduke that day. One of them had thrown a bomb, which missed, and the angry Archduke told his aide to change the route. But the message did not reach the chauffeur, and in the confusion, the car stalled on a street-corner. Princip saw his chance, and shot the Archduke and Archduchess, who died within the hour.

Gavrilo Princip was a member of the Black Hand, a a Serbian underground resistance group opposed to Austro-Hungarian government and it's occupation of Serbia. They did not want to be part of the Austro-Hungarian empire, and they did not want to pay taxes to them. There is also some indication he had a personal dislike for the Archduke. Princip had tuberculosis and knew he was going to die soon. He assassinated the Archduke as a final act of "patriotism" believeing he would not live long enough to receive punishment.

My research indicates it was a Nagent revolver, Model 1895, in 7.62mm (.30 caliber).

The Serbian government provided the weapons that the Black Hand used to attempt to assassinate Ferdinand/the gun that Princip used to kill Ferdinand.

Gavrilo Princip who was a member of a gang called "The Black Hand." He plotted with other gang members to kill the Archduke but when plans failed he went to eats a sandwhich. Ironically the motor vehicle carrying the Archduke and his wife Sophie had passed the sandwhich shop where Gavrilo then pulled out a pistol and shot them both.

A sizable group planned the assassination, however only two made an attempt. One tried a bombing and when he failed, Gavrilo Princip shot the Archduke and his wife.

Ethnic Serbs wanted freedom from Bosnia, which the archduke ruled.

I person hired to kill or murder someone is called an asasson :)

Gavrilo Princips assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand June 28th 1914

You mean the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand. His assassination sparked the First World War. On June 28th, 1914, Archduke Ferdinand was riding in a carriage car in a parade. Several attempts had been made earlier to assassinate him, but they each failed. The man who tried to kill him, Giovanni Princip went to a restaurant to get something to eat after his first few assassination attempts failed. Then he saw the royal motorcade coming down the street when he ran out of the restaurant, grabbed his pistol, and shot Archduke Ferdinand and his wife. They were declared dead just moments after the shots were fired at them. Princip was eventually found, arrested, put on trial and sentenced to twenty (20) years in prison.

That's not really a question but you may have better luck searching the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand. His death basically set world war one into action. Austria declared war then everyone did. It was on the 28th of 1914 in Sarajevo, many people failed to kill him then the car he was in turned the wrong way and stopped, a guy named Gavrilo Princip who had already failed to kill him and was sulking saw him, stood up and shot him.

A Browning M1910 .32 caliber automatic pistol

Gavrilo Prinicp died in Prison, he murdered the archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophia, attempted to take a drug that was so out of date it only made him throw up rather than its initial purpose, to kill him. He wanted to do this as his last act before he died.

because they like 2 kill because they wanted freedon

nahh it ain't princip, it was some guy from the bosinian government he sent the black hand gang all the equipment they needed, that guy was also responsible for the cyanide being in-effective when the gang tried to kill themselves. :) Rania thats nt even answering the question :L by bobbi leigh It was Gavrilo Princip that killed Archduke Franz Ferdinand but i don't think he was the leader. when Franz Ferdinand was on the way see injured soldiers the whole of the black hand gang were lined up on the street ready to strike but they all missed and some pulled out so Princip left but the driver of Franz Ferdinands car had took a wrong turn and was heading straight for Princip so he took his chance and killed the Archduke but princip had a disase anyway and was going to die anyway so he tried to comit suicide afterbut the police came first he died of the disease later though.
