Mel Brooks, the film's directer. He also supplied the sound of the cat Frederick hit with his dart and the voice of Victor Frankenstein.
Frankenstein is the name of a scientist who tried to create a person. He worked tirelessly to accomplish this feat. It backfired on him when he created a monster. Most people think that Frankenstein is the name of the monster, Frankenstein is the scientist's last name. Although many people have come to believe that the monster's name is Frankenstein, the monster's creator is Victor Frankenstein. Victor Frankenstein is the main character in the novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelly. Not the moster as is popular belief. Victor created the moster, who remains nameless. Shelley later stated that the monsters name was Adam. Frankenstein is a monster that was made up from the body parts and organs of the dead, by Dr. Frankenstein himself. When the monster was complete Dr. Frankenstein shouted "It's Alive! It's Alive!" when actually Frankenstein was never really alive, because if you look over the five characteristics of life Frankenstein dose not have all of them so he could never have actually been alive. Frankenstein is the last name of the scientist who created the monster. The monster is never given a name. It can be assumed that Frankenstein is a fitting name for the monster, since he is, in a way, Victor's offspring, therefore should share his last name. However, nowhere in the novel does the monster get referred to as "Frankenstein." Also, the "it's alive" bit is true only of the movie. In the book, Victor runs away in fear when the monster comes to life.
Victor Frankenstein made his creature (which, by the way, is nameless) by putting together body parts taken from corpses. He then used the power of electricity to bring it to life.
Because your in teleclass and dont read!
Victor Frankenstein created his creature to be 8 feet tall because Mary Shelley simply decided to describe the creature/monster to be this way. Other reasons would be that the creature is possibly made of many other bodies.
Walk This Way
Frankenstein gait is when you walk in a way that looks very unnatural. The term comes from the Frankenstein monster in Mary Shelly's Frankenstein.
Never directly, didn't hit him or anything like that. But in every other way imaginable he did.
The night's wind howled as the moon glared through the clouds, a storm was coming this way, that fight for surival was about to begin......
The wind howled in such a way, the moon guided the many citizens in the dead of night, and the sun awakened from it's slumber behind the horizon.
No
From: http://german.about.com/library/blgermyth02.htmTurns out that director Mel Brooks was just having some fun with a classic cinematic "villain" gag from old melodramas. There is no real logic for the horses' neighing, since most of the time there is no way they could even see or hear Frau Blucher or the people saying her name. Now you can just enjoy Young Frankenstein-without any dopey "glue" myth. From: me. I'm sure years ago I saw an old Frankenstein movie where the horses whinnied every time the name Frankenstein was mentioned. I take it the pun is on that one. If I just could remember the name of that movie.
Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein to win a bet for the best horror story. The bet was between Mary, her husband Percy, and Lord Byron.
