Jesus Is the Son of God who, though existent before the world was created, made His entrance into this word veiled in the flesh of a human baby through the womb of Mary of Nazareth, a virgin. She was a devoted follower of God, but she is not divine, & should not be worshiped.

The reason Jesus left the glories of Heaven where He was constantly worshiped by angels & cherubim for the toils of this earth was to die in our place & reconcile us to Himself. He loves mankind, but when Adam & Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, man was separated from God. Sin was the reason that man could no longer be in God's physical presence, and all people are guilty of sin. God wants us to be brought back to Him, but He is so Holy & we are so exceedingly sinful, that no one ever has or ever will be able to live up to His standards.

Since He loves us so & He knew we would never be able to earn our way back into His favor, He came to the earth & lived as a man, but as we clearly see through the many miracles & the confessions of those who wrote about Him, He retained the divinity of God while showing Himself in the form of a human. The Bible says He was tempted in the same ways that we are, but He never gave in to those temptations & He never committed sin of any kind. (Also, not that marriage is a sin, but He didn't get married while He was here.)

The reason Jesus' sinlessness is so important is because He fulfilled the divine law which was given to the Israelites God's chosen people back in Exodus, the 2nd book of the Old Testament. These laws included, but are not limited to, the 10 Commandments. There are so many laws that a person could not even memorize them all, let alone keep them. God didn't issue these laws to condemn us, but to prove to us that we aren't able to get to Him on our own. The Bible describes the law as a schoolmaster which is intended to guide us to Christ. Jesus said the whole (healthy) don't need a physician, but those that are sick. Thats true, what healthy person seeks the help of a doctor? So the law works to show us that we are spiritually sick & separated from God. The results of our sinfulness is that our souls go to hell when we die. But Jesus obeyed the law in every area, then He offered His life on the cross. However, being sinless, death had no claim over Him (For the wages of sin is death...) so He rose from the dead which is called the resurrection. That is significant in that He can also raise our souls, which are already dead in trespasses & sins, to new life through the power of His sacrifice of Himself in our place (...but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.)

The only way for a human being to be made right with God & escape the torments of a literal & eternal hell is to accept the offering Jesus gave, to repent (turn from) their sins & be saved. I'll try to put it in simpler language: salvation means that all our sins are put on Jesus' account, which is paid in full already by His death, so they are "erased." Then all the righteousness that He has & all the favor He has in the eyes of God the Father, & His sinless perfection are put on our account. We are no longer guilty & condemned in God's eyes, but are covered in the beautiful goodness of His beloved Son. If we are saved, we will not have to pay the penalty for our sins (death) because Jesus already did. His sacrifice was sufficient for all who will come to Him. The Bible makes it clear that salvation is not a license to sin just because we won't be accountable for it's ultimate price, although saved people do sin, it isn't willingly & ought to be despised if one is right with God. A person can not be saved without the work of God's Holy Spirit in their heart.

If you believe these truths I have shared & want to be saved, I suggest you purchase a King James Bible (not New King James) and read it, and obey what you read. Pray that God will send His Holy Spirit to lead you to Jesus. I don't know how God will go about bringing you to the end of your self where you realize that Jesus is all there is, but I believe He will. Jesus said He who cometh unto me I will in no wise (way) cast out. It could be instant, or it could take years, but if you want it bad enough you'll get it. There are some wonderful sermons on this free website, all they need is your email address. I'm subscribed & have not gotten any spam or any other unwanted solicitaitons from them. The address is www.sermonaudio.com. Mike Bagwell, Paul Washer, and Ray Comfort<(-:funny guy!) are some good starters. I will pray for you, I don't know who you are, but God does. I would start by reading the Gospel of John in a modern Bible translation. Wikipedia is another good research source.

It depends on what you believe. Christians of course believe Jesus to be the son of God, in human form. His birth, life and death, were prophesized in the Old Testament, promised by God to his chosen people, the Jews. His mission was to educate all people about God's love. When Adam and Eve fell from grace and were banished from the Garden Of Eden, they were cursed with mortality for their sins. After that, all humans born were born to die, no salvation for anyone.

But because God loved humans, he sent His son to die in their place that they would have a chance of eternal life. We were all doomed until Jesus died for us. Not just Jews, but all humans. Right before He died on the cross, Jesus uttered these words, 'It is finished'. The plan was complete, and all would be saved who believed in Christ.

Some non-Christians believe that Christ was a teacher. Others don't believe at all and treat the story of Christ as a fairy tale. Everyone has to make up their own mind on what Christ means to them.

Jesus Christ is the son of God. God sent his son to Earth in the form of a baby to save the world of its sins. Jesus died on the cross for all people, and raised again 3 days later. Jesus said that the only way to Heaven is through him.

  • God did not send his Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent him to save them! -- John 3:17
  • "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." This saying is true, and it can be trusted. I was the worst sinner of all! -- 1 Timothy 1:15
  • God sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. We saw his Son and are now telling others about him. -- 1 John 4:14
  • God has done it all! He sent Christ to make peace between himself and us, and he has given us the work of making peace between himself and others. -- 2 Corinthians 5:18
  • No one is really willing to die for an honest person, though someone might be willing to die for a truly good person. But God showed how much he loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful. But there is more! Now that God has accepted us because Christ sacrificed his life's blood, we will also be kept safe from God's anger. Even when we were God's enemies, he made peace with us, because his Son died for us. Yet something even greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, we will be saved by his Son's life. And in addition to everything else, we are happy because God sent our Lord Jesus Christ to make peace with us. -- Romans 5:7-11
  • Just as we will die because of Adam, we will be raised to life because of Christ. Adam brought death to all of us, and Christ will bring life to all of us. -- 1 Corinthians 15:21-22
  • And you gave him power over all people, so that he would give eternal life to everyone you give him. Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, the one you sent. I have brought glory to you here on earth by doing everything you gave me to do. -- John 17:2-4
  • Everything and everyone that the Father has given me will come to me, and I won't turn any of them away. I didn't come from heaven to do what I want! I came to do what the Father wants me to do. He sent me, and he wants to make certain that none of the ones he has given me will be lost. Instead, he wants me to raise them to life on the last day. My Father wants everyone who sees the Son to have faith in him and to have eternal life. Then I will raise them to life on the last day. -- John 6:37-40
  • And God was pleased for him to make peace by sacrificing his blood on the cross, so that all beings in heaven and on earth would be brought back to God. You used to be far from God. Your thoughts made you his enemies, and you did evil things. But his Son became a human and died. So God made peace with you, and now he lets you stand in his presence as people who are holy and faultless and innocent. -- Colossians 1:20-22
  • Christ has made peace between Jews and Gentiles, and he has united us by breaking down the wall of hatred that separated us. Christ gave his own body to destroy the Law of Moses with all its rules and commands. He even brought Jews and Gentiles together as though we were only one person, when he united us in peace. On the cross Christ did away with our hatred for each other. He also made peace between us and God by uniting Jews and Gentiles in one body. -- Ephesians 2:14-16
  • Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
    • To firmly introduce the knowing quality which is what he represents to each of us, and to teach how to reach for the Christ consciousness in each of us
  • The mission of Jesus was to make everyone happy and live in a world where we are all equal.
    • Jesus was God in man form. He realized his children needed a living breathing flesh and bone man to walk with them and teach by example the right way to live and the way to return to their creator, him. God also had laws, one of which was if sins were committed, a sacrifice of an animal would have to be made. Jesus was that sacrifice for all mankind. That is why he is referred to as the lamb of God. To summarize, Jesus came to earth to teach and die, so that you would live.

Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost.

Matthew 5:18: For verily I (Jesus)say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and s hall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Luke 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. (Jesus)

AnswerJohn 10:10 (King James Version)

10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Jesus came to give abundant life. This is further described in the start of the Gospel of John. Since Jesus is Himself the creator of life, He knows all about it. The light He brought is something that clearly demonstrates who He is and also reveals the wickedness and deceptions of people, which leads them into spiritual darkness and death.

John 1:1-4

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

2 Timothy 1:10

10But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who has abolished death, and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Answer

The mission of Jesus Christ, the Savior of all, is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.

Answer

Jesus Christ, the son of a living God. Who came to earth through an earthly mother and whose father was God.

His mission while here upon the earth was to bring to pass the immortality and eternal live of all mankind.

He taught us how to live by His example, and by His teachings. He taught "As I have loved you, love one another". The King James Bible says his mission was to seek and to save sinners, and to give His life to pay for their sins. Luke 19:10 "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." Matthew 20:28 "Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."

As Quoted from Jesus Himself:

Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 12:52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 12:53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 22:35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing. 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

AnswerI would start by reading the Gospel of John in a modern Bible translation. Wikipedia is another good research source.

The only reason for God's mission is He loves you more than you love yourself. That's why He came down to save you from the sinful life, because God expects us to be like Him. A sinful person can't enter God's kingdom with his sinful nature and the man himself can't cleanse his own sin; a sinless person only can take our sin and can give freedom from sin. Only God is sinless. For this reason only God came down as a man and was crucified on the cross for our sin but He rose again from the dead. If we believe Jesus died for sin and are ready to accept Him as our savior, we will be His child. God bless you.

Jesus had a mission of being the lamb, and to die on the cross. It was for the sins of the whole world.
He was literally on a suicide mission to save the world. Mission accomplished.

How did Christianity begin with Christ?

At the wedding in Cana Jesus revealed himself to his friends as the Son of God and began his mission. During the next two or three years, Jesus and his followers spread the Good News and taught about Love. Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, he gave his followers the job of carrying on the mission, teaching the world about Love. As Christians, we are called to carry on Jesus mission in our actions. Christianity began with Christ because he began the mission and called us to carry it on.
